Hip Hop Open Mic Recap

Here are some pictures from Saturday's Hip Hop Open Mic Night. Thank you to the 30 or so of you that came out. I know that the Dunedin Lyricist Society and Franken Shark appreciate the attention. We will be hosting another event with this same lineup in March, so follow our Facebook page for more information and updates.

A night of Punk Rock

As you may or may not know, at The Burb, we are rather fond of punk rock. Well, in a little different way, we will be paying homage to some of the punk rock greats as well as mixing in some rather great wheat paste/graffiti/stencil live art showing. For those who came to our grand opening Burb-BQ, you got a little taste of the art.

Details:

Feature performance: Full Ramones Cover Set
Other Music Performed: Stooges, Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Misfits, and other 80's era punk.
Art Feature: Wheat Paste and Stencil Graffiti

Burb-BQ Recap

The grand opening was a success. First, I'd like to thank all of you who came out and supported our party and business. Second, I'd like to thank our sponsors, Atomic Tattoo (Palm Harbor Store), Dead On Screen Printing, No Clubs/State Media, Independent Bar (Clearwater Location), and The Dunedin Lyricist Society for coming out and making the day a fun and generous day of giving back to our customers. We had a great time partying with you!!! A special thanks to Jon (Frankenshark) McComber and Mike for the enormous mural for the space. It looks sick! Here are some pictures from the event. If you have more, send them to us at theburbspace@gmail.com. Don't be a weird hoarder. We've talked about this.
