All work and no fun makes BURB a dull place. So, each month the BURB will be hosting special events. Live Music, Open Mic Nights, Visual Art Showings, Gear and Record Swaps, and other fun stuff.

November 2013

November 21st- A nod to the inventive 80's era of punk rock culture. Cover songs played by incompetent friends solely to make noise. Art that pushed boundaries and screamed messages of protest.
Feature: A full cover set of Ramones Music, full set of TheMisfits and and a mixture of 80's punk rock. Art: Live wheat paste art, graffiti, and stencil

January 18th, 2014 - A truly unique night brought to you by The Dunedin Lyricist Society. The Burb hosts its first Hip-Hop Open Mic Night. Accompanied with our usual friend from Franken Shark, Jon McComber to be doing live graffiti painting on a 16'X8' wall. This is exactly what The Burb represents. A few talented individuals collaborating and having fun with their craft.

February 20th, 2014- I am so excited about this little shin-dig. The Burb is hosting a first ever Wesley Willis Karaoke night! If you know who he is, then you know how cool this will be. If you don't, this will be an amazingly interesting night. Live art remakes of his art with your help, so BRING A BRUSH!!!

March 28th 2014 - Freestyle Friday! The Dunedin Lyricist Society hosts round 2 of our Hip Hop Open Mic Night. Our first night was great, the 2nd event will be that even better and hopefully a little less cold.
